By accessing or using Portfol.io (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Portfol.io. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Account creation and authentication is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@portfol.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent, share your account with others, or use automated means to create accounts.
Enrollment
Enrolling in a class grants you access to attend that class’s live sessions for the duration of your enrollment. One-time purchases grant access to the scheduled session. Subscriptions grant ongoing access as long as your subscription is active.
Live-only platform
Portfol.io provides live educational experiences only. Portfol.io does not record classes and does not offer video-on-demand (VOD) playback. If you miss a live session, no recording will be made available by Portfol.io.
No recording by users
You may not record, screenshot, capture, or reproduce any portion of a live class without the express written permission of the class creator. Unauthorized recording violates these Terms and may infringe the intellectual property rights of creators.
Conduct in class
You agree to engage respectfully in live classes and community features. We may remove you from a class or suspend your account for disruptive, harassing, or abusive behavior.
Content responsibility
As a creator, you are solely responsible for all content you publish or broadcast on Portfol.io, including your class descriptions, thumbnails, live sessions, and community posts. You represent that your content:
Content ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create. By publishing content on Portfol.io, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content as necessary to operate the Platform (for example, showing your class thumbnail to prospective students).
Platform fees
Portfol.io retains a service fee on each transaction processed through the Platform. Fee details are provided to creators during Stripe Connect onboarding. Fees are deducted automatically from each payment before funds are transferred to your Stripe Express account.
Payouts
Payouts to creators are processed through Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe’s identity verification and onboarding before receiving funds. Payout timing is governed by Stripe’s payout schedule for your account type and location.
Class cancellations
If you cancel a scheduled class, enrolled students are entitled to a refund as described in our Refund Policy. Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable amount. For subscription classes, you authorize recurring monthly charges until you cancel.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

These prohibitions are governed in further detail by our Acceptable Use Policy, which covers prohibited content categories including adult content, hate speech, fraud, malware, and illegal goods. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy in full.
The Portfol.io name, logo, platform design, and underlying technology are owned by Portfol.io and protected by intellectual property law. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.
Creator content (class materials, video broadcasts, community posts) is owned by the respective creators, subject to the license granted to Portfol.io in Section 5.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that live classes will be uninterrupted or error-free. Network issues, technical failures, or events beyond our control may affect live class delivery. We are not responsible for content created or broadcast by creators.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PORTFOL.IO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PORTFOL.IO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@portfol.io.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Active subscriptions will be canceled. Refunds upon termination are subject to our Refund Policy.
